Under the Bridge
Everest: "Raking Me Over the Coals"
What do you get when you take four fellas with masterful harmonies and stick them in the acoustically-perfect Cleft Ridge Span on a sweltering summer's day in Brooklyn? You get musical magic.
As further proof of this pitch perfection, the audio on this take is totally untouched in post-production, the lads of Everest having leveled everything impeccably, guided solely by the acoustics of the archaic archway in which they played. From their latest record, "Ownerless" (from ATO Records), "Raking Me Over the Coals" is a song that will set up shop in your phonological loop and stay for days.
You can catch Everest on some of the premier stages of North America throughout fall of 2012 as they open for Neil Young, but be sure to check www.everestband.com so that you can catch them on a smaller stage and say you saw them way back when...
